The UK Kennel Club categorises breeds based on their original jobs.

However, the evolution of certain dogs can lead them to be placed in a different grouping than what we would expect.

Breed recognitions reflect the roles dogs performed in the past.

These dogs are breeds that no longer fit into other group categories.

Breeders developed these dogs for a special purpose.

However, if that purpose doesn't fit into another group, such as the Pastoral or Working Group, the dog is placed in the Utility Group.
